Swiss Council for Accident Prevention BFU
Founded in 1938, the bfu is a private foundation and politically independent.
The bfu has a legal mandate to prevent non-occupational accidents and to coordinate the prevention measures of all those concerned. Today, the bfu is considered to be the Swiss Competence and Coordination Centre for Accident Prevention in the sectors of road traffic, sport, home and leisure. It passes on the results to individuals and expert groups in the form of advisory, training and communication services.
